YAYY!! Summer is here and I can’t wait to pull out the wedges and flowy dresses. I am so ready for the warm summer sun! Here is a list of my favorite top three Summer 2013 trends that I can’t wait to try or retry again. 🙂
Summer Trends of 2013
I love this look. It’s all about being romantic, carefree and soft. Free People is absolutely my favorite place to shop if I am looking for something that brings out the boho girl inside of me. The boho look is really easy to pull off, no matter what shape or size you are. Bring out the Maxi dresses!
From white shoes to white blouses this look screams summer. Though this trend can be really hard to pull off, I plan on giving it a try. What I have learned is that there are so many shades of white, and once you find the right shades that are pretty on your skin tone, you can easily rock white on white. TIP: This look is going to take sometime to perfect, so be patient, its worth it!
I love how sports meet the runway in this look. It’s fun and youthful with a little bit of edge. But no need to join the gym or take on tennis lessons to sport this look. Although rules were meant to be broken, there are however some basic ones you should not break when wearing this sporty chic trend.
The Do’s and Don’ts of Sporty Chic
* Make sure the clothes are fitted in all the right places. Baggy clothes will make you look frumpy; always leave frumpy at home.
* Don’t do the head-to-toe sporty trend. Wear your sporty chic pieces with heels to keep the look chic.
* Choose simple accessories in metallic colors, but don’t be afraid to have fun! -Add a pop of color with your shoes or bag.
I hope I inspired you to try something new this summer.
Food for thought:
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
— Audrey Hepburn
