It’s day 2 of my Snack Attack Series. Yesterday, I featured frozen grapes. Today the recipe is……..Drumroll please!…………..”Apple pie”. No, not really grandmas apple pie.But it tastes very similar to it and it is actually good for you to eat a whole bowl;) This is a super yummy and healthy dessert or snack. If you are getting tired of plain old apples, adding cinnamon is an instant spruce up. Popping them in the microwave gives the apples a great texture (think apple pie). The aroma of the cinnamon apple combination brings back memories of the previous fall and excites you at the season to come.
– Cut up a granny smith apple and put apple slices in a microwave bowl.Coat slices with cinnamon and toss. Microwave for about a minute to a minute and a half or until the apple slices have been cooked, become soft and are hot. If craving a sweeter snack, top with a sheet of crumbled up graham crackers and whip cream.
